Where are you located?
Pique Recording is located in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. We are just a couple blocks away from the beautiful Echo Park Lake and Sunset Blvd! Address will be sent once a booking deposit is received.
What types of payment do you accept?
Paypal, Venmo, Zelle

When is payment due?
A $60(1hr) deposit is required to reserve and book a session time slot. The remainder hourly payment is due at the end of every session.
For subscription services, please book a session time slot within your desired subscription tier (basic, standard, or premium). I will follow up with a payment request. Once you have paid, your session will be confirmed. Additional hours are due at the end of every session, at the reduced cost associated with your subscription plan. Your subscription will be renewed on a monthly basis from your sign-up date.
For Mixing and Mastering services, full payment is due upon booking.

What genres of music do you record?
Many genres! I have recorded rock, metal, jazz, folk, bluegrass, singer/songwriter, gospel, RnB, soul, experimental, ambient, hip-hop and rap. Please refer to the discography page for examples.

How should I best prepare for my recording session?
Lots of ways! Take care of your physical and mental health. Get plenty of sleep before session days. Practice so that you know your material inside and out. Make charts and have lyrics printed for reference. Make sure instruments are in tip top shape - hopefully professionally set up. Restring guitars, replace drum heads and bring extras should anything break. Do your best to be prepared and it’s always a plus to have a good attitude!

How far in advance must I schedule a booking?
Ideally at least 2 weeks in advance - this ensures that the dates you need will have a greater chance of being available. Last minute bookings sometimes work, but availability is subject to previously scheduled sessions. Please see my availability by selecting a booking option and looking at my calendar. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly.

What if I’m late to the session?
Please be on time. If you are running behind, please let me know so that I might have microphones set up and ready to go by the time you arrive. You will be on-the-clock at the agreed upon start time.

What if I need to cancel my session?
Please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Your $60 deposit goes toward a rescheduled session date.

Is there parking?
There is usually street parking available. Otherwise there is limited parking in the back. Please let me know beforehand so that I may make arrangements.

What are the house rules?
Please be respectful of the space, equipment and fellow bandmates. Please no drugs or smoking inside the studio. Thank you.

What kind of equipment is available?
Check out the gear page. Please inquire if you wish to use a certain instrument during a session. Much of the equipment is vintage which sometimes requires sick leave.

What kind of hospitality do you provide?
Make yourself at home! Filtered water, coffee, tea and whatever else might be in the fridge. We try to keep the kitchen stocked with healthy snack options. Fast wifi available. The studio is located near many great eateries so many types of food are close by. If you have any special dietary needs, be sure to let me know.

Are there housing accommodations?
Yes! If you are coming from out of town, please ask about accommodations. Many Airbnb’s are in the area and I can help you find a comfortable spot.

Must I do in-house mastering?
No. Records made at Pique are welcome to be taken to outside mastering engineers. Mastering engineers who have done great work for me in the past include: Garrett Bevins, Scott Craggs, Piper Payne, Philip Shaw Bova and others.
